Head of School

Dear FIS Community, Following the recent state elections in Saxony-Anhalt, I did not want to miss the opportunity to address the political developments in Germany and what they may mean for us as a community…

Yesterday, we welcomed our students back to school and officially began a new academic year. There is always something special about these first days.

The Board has introduced our new Mission and Vision, and I share their excitement about what these guiding statements represent for the future of the FIS.

The final stretch of the academic year has begun, and there is already so much to celebrate.

Over the last few months, one topic has required particular attention from both our teachers and leadership: the use of social media among students.

As 2026 gets underway, it is encouraging to see the focus, engagement, and sense of purpose already present across our school.

I wish you all a truly wonderful holiday season filled with rest, joy, and meaningful moments.

As we reach the last day before the Fall break, it feels like a good moment to pause and reflect on these first months of the school year.

Thank you for your trust, your energy, and your belief in what we can build – together.
