Faculty at the FIS are recruited from all over the world. The diversity of cultures and nationalities enriches school life. Faculty members have a commitment to excellence and a love of learning which they bring to the school and transfer to the children. All teachers are qualified to teach in their area of specialization according to German and international law.

Non-teaching staff
Non-teaching staff are the force in the background. A team of around 30 staff members keeps the school running. Lunch preparation, bus coordination, purchasing and facility management or network administration – there is a lot to do to ensure a smooth school day.

Senior Leadership Team
The Interim Head of School, Head of Business Administration, Head of Educational Administration, Head of Primary School, Head of Secondary School, and Head of Curriculum form the Senior Leadership Team. Once a week they meet to discuss all kinds of topics regarding academic, curriculum, strategy or school community issues. After due discussion and deliberation, decisions are taken and referred to the respective departments for implementation.
