Sports

The main gym offers space for a variety of team sports as well as individual activities. It can be divided by a separating wall into two smaller sports halls, both well-equipped and accessible directly from the hallway and changing rooms. Our bright gymnasium with underfloor heating and an integrated climbing wall is a meeting point for students, teachers and parents. From the gallery you can watch sports events and cheer for your favorite team.

There are additional outdoor sports facilities on the campus, such as a football pitch, outdoor all-weather court and an athletics area. Additionally, there is another recently constructed gym next to the main building.

Playgrounds

The school building is divided into sections which each enclose a different courtyard. From the classrooms, the students can immediately access the secure playgrounds, where they can enjoy and have fun with their classmates. In the Early Years area, there are sandboxes, slides and playhouses as well as climbing facilities. The flooring is soft, easy to maintain and safe for children to play on. The older students can use the climbing facility, the slide and bird’s nest swing next to the sports field. Sheltered benches offer a place to rest, out of the sun.

The FIS Joins the National Climate Protection Initiative

With the National Climate Protection Initiative, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment has been initiating and calling for numerous projects that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions since 2008. Its programs and projects cover a broad spectrum of climate protection activities: From the development of long-term strategies to specific assistance and investment support measures. This diversity guarantees good ideas. The National Climate Initiative helps to anchor climate protection at a local level. It benefits consumers as well as companies, municipalities or educational institutions.
