About Us

Committed to High-Profile Education

As parents, our foremost aspiration is to provide our children with the most comprehensive education possible. We want to see them not only grow and excel academically but also flourish as individuals, equipped with a 21st-century skill set to navigate the complexities of the world.

At the FIS, we are dedicated to harmonizing academic rigor with the holistic development of each student. We encourage our students to explore their skills and interests. Our mission is to equip your children with the versatility and resilience needed to thrive on a global scale. We place a strong emphasis on the International Baccalaureate’s Approaches to Learning (AtL) and High-Quality Learning, which serve as a compass for lifelong learning, empowering students to confront future challenges with composure and clarity of mind.

Our school community thrives on diversity with students and staff from over 50 nations calling the FIS their home. Every day, we are greeted by a mix of cultural backgrounds, beliefs and upbringings as we open the school’s doors. What binds us together are our shared values of Caring, Curiosity, Respect, Integrity and Belonging, creating a strong sense of connection and collaboration. These values shape our daily interactions and decisions, making each day at the school meaningful and enriching.

The FIS is located in the heart of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region and is proud to be part of the Erlangen community, recently rated among top German cities with an excellent economy and sustainability prospects.

Renowned also for its international business landscape and historical legacies dating back to the Roman Empire, Franconia provides an ideal backdrop for authentic learning in our educational institution.

At the FIS, we are all committed to learning together and continue to strive for greatness, one day at a time.

Sincerely,

Petra Niemczyk
Interim Head of School
