Grade 12 Art Exhibition

Secondary

Our Grade 12 Art students are proud to present their final art pieces produced during their Visual Arts course. The exhibition represents the students’ work over the last one and a half years in preparation for their International Baccalaureate exam. The range of media, techniques, subject matter and artistic concepts with which the students have engaged throughout their course, will be on display at the exhibition. The following students will present their work: Ella Bas Backer, Salma Hladik, Katharina Trappe and Melanie Zubiaga.

Also, Grade 11 Art students will be presenting some of their work for the first time in public: Pia Junger, Isabelle Koutny, Liu Xintong, Yuma Oki, Franziska Pierer von Esch, Sato Risa, Johanna Weber, Alissa Jamieson, Camryn Nelson and Leonie Sauer.

In addition, my colleague, Yvonne Krauß (Administrative Assistant) and I will exhibit some of our artwork.

The Exhibition will take place at the Kunstmuseum Erlangen (Nürnberger Straße 9) and will run from March 11 to 15, 2018. Dr. Elisabeth Preuß, Deputy Mayor of Erlangen, will open the exhibition on Sunday, March 11 at 11:00.

We are grateful to the city of Erlangen for providing us with the opportunity to host this event at the Kunstmuseum. We would also like to express our appreciation to Dr. Herbert Kurz for his support and cooperation. The location of this event will, no doubt, allow the work of our students to reach a wider audience. Furthermore, they will benefit from both presenting their work in a professional gallery for an extended period.

The FIS Art department would like to invite you all to celebrate the achievements of our Grade 12 students together with us. We look forward to seeing you at the opening!
