How can we connect STEM learning at the FIS with real-world experiences and opportunities?
This question brought representatives from the MINT-Zentrum Hirschaid to the FIS for an inspiring exchange of ideas. Together with colleagues from our Science and Design Departments, Future Pathways, Educational Technology, Curriculum, two students representing the Student Science Club as well as our school leadership, we explored opportunities for a long-term collaboration.
The discussions focused on bringing STEM learning to life beyond the classroom, giving students more opportunities to explore their interests, gain practical experience, and discover potential future pathways. Looking five years ahead, the group also shared ideas about what STEM education at the FIS could look like and identified concrete steps to help make that vision a reality.
A big thank you to Mr. Seuling, Mr. Spieth, and Ms. Daniel from the MINT-Zentrum Hirschaid for visiting us and sharing their ideas and expertise. We look forward to seeing where this collaboration takes us!
