The FIS U14 and Varsity Cross Country team accompanied by their coaches are currently in Leipzig participating in the final GISST competition. We wish you successful races and good luck to all!
Friendly Fixtures in October 2022
It is with great pleasure that I can inform about many upcoming Friendly fixtures this month. Please see below for details.
Volleyball Friendly @ISS, October 8
Two boys and two girls Varsity Volleyball teams have been selected to represent the FIS at the first Friendly of this school year to be held this Saturday, October 8 in Stuttgart. Parents and players have already been informed about all details.
Badminton Friendly @FIS, October 15
On Saturday, October 15, the FIS is hosting the U14 and Varsity Badminton Friendly here in Erlangen.
As always when we are hosting a sporting event, we need your help to provide refreshments for the players, coaches, staff and spectators during the event. Please consider donating your time and/or food products. Please sign up through this Wejoinin sheet.
Food can be delivered to FIS reception on Friday, October 14 or to the refreshment stand on Saturday morning. Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
U14 Football (Mixed) Friendlies, October 15 and October 22
Next Saturday the U14 mixed Football team is traveling to Hohenfels (JMRC) for a friendly match. They will leave at 9:00 and should be back by 16:00. All players and parents have already been informed. Mr. Hyde and one more chaperone will accompany the team. The following week, on Saturday, October 22, the same time will travel to Vilseck for another friendly match. Departure is set for 9:45.
Volleyball Friendly @FIS, October 22
The second challenge of the year for our Varsity Volleyball teams, both boys and girls, is scheduled for Saturday, October 22 here at the FIS. All students participating in the GISST Varsity Volleyball program are welcome to join this event.

Badminton/Varsity Football Friendly @BIS October 22
Last but not least, on Saturday, October 22, four FIS teams will be participating in the Friendly fixture at the Bavarian International School. The U14 and Varsity Badminton teams together with the boys and girls Varsity Football teams and their coaches will travel to Munich leaving FIS at 7:00 and should be back by 18:30. Parents and players will be informed about the details shortly.
