2019 Careers Day for High School Students

Secondary

The annual event offers our High School students a platform to explore their interests and passions, as an extension of their academic program. Careers Day is an opportunity for them to learn about the diverse and rapidly changing professional world around us. It further allows them to know about different professional paths and career options. Lastly, it gives them a chance to develop meaningful and personal connections with the local community.

This year, we organized the event in the style of five industry-specific panels, including Software-Technology-Engineering, Design-Art-Creativity, Medicine-Biotech-Healthcare, Business-Entrepreneurship and Marketing-Media-PR. Each panel session allowed for an interactive discussion between students and panelists including junior and senior industry experts as well as our own FIS alumni. Each session also included a short workshop led by one of the panelists and one-on-one networking time with them.

Insights into different professions will help our students during their career exploration path, as well as during the higher education choice process.
