Virtual PTO Coffee Morning (Zoom)

Do you know the feeling? Arriving in a new country, a new language and so much feels unfamiliar: you don’t know where to buy that one ingredient you need, you can’t read the letters arriving at your house and you don’t understand why your neighbor gets upset when you mowed the lawn on Sundays. It doesn’t have to be like that! At our next virtual coffee morning, the PTO would like to help you navigate life in Germany a bit better.

Bollywood Dance Class (Free Trial)

Please join this free “FIS parents only” trial class at Studio58 just a short walk from school. Bollywood Dancing is a fun and high energy exercise, a bit like Zumba but Indian style. Our teacher will be FIS parent Deepti Gaur.
Corona social distancing rules apply, there is space for 15 participants – please book your space here (first come, first served). If there are enough people interested in continuing, we are happy to set up a regular FIS parents Bollywood class, which would then cost EUR 70 for 10 classes.

By popular demand, the PTO is bringing back the German speaking meet-ups. A fantastic opportunity to practice conversing in German in a safe and informal way. We are still looking for native German speakers to help. No particular skills required, just a little time every 2 weeks to chat (via Zoom at the moment).

Not Long Until Christmas…
We know, it’s only October but Christmas is approaching fast. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to celebrate at school with a Christmas Fair like we did last year. However, we have lots of other ideas around what we could do instead and are looking for volunteers helping us in making December fun.
