Celebrating Adventure, Teamwork and Achievement

This week, the FIS community came together to celebrate 14 students who proudly received their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. Surrounded by parents, siblings and teachers, the evening was a chance to recognise not only their achievement, but also the determination, resilience and teamwork that made it possible.

Each of the three expedition groups shared highlights from their journey with family and friends. Display boards filled with route plans, maps, photos and memorable keepsakes brought their adventures back to life, giving everyone a glimpse into the challenges they overcame and the experiences they shared along the way.

Of course, no DofE celebration would be complete without a little surprise challenge. Two teams took to the stage to see who could pitch their tent the fastest and both teams proved they had not forgotten their expedition skills. Well done to everyone who volunteered to take part!

Congratulations to all 14 students on earning their Bronze Award. It is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the commitment, perseverance and adventurous spirit they have shown throughout their DofE journey. We look forward to seeing where the next adventure takes them.
