In February 2020, the FIS will play host to a prestigious ISTA Middle School Drama Festival!
The International Schools Theatre Association is an international organization that provides exciting and rewarding theater experiences to students. With over 60 annual events around the world, including school festivals, teacher training, artists in residence, and IB DP theater conferences, ISTA helps develop an innovative practice for drama learners and teachers.
20 FIS students from Grades 6 to 8 will have the opportunity to join Middle School students from other schools, to participate in theater activities designed to promote IB learning, intercultural understanding, and cooperation, right here at the FIS! We will be welcoming international theater artists and schools from the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and Russia!
The festival will run from Thursday, February 13, 2020, to Sunday, February 16, 2020. There will be a performance celebrating the students’ collaboration on February 16, 2020.
Participation forms were given to Middle School students on Monday, November 25, 2019, and emailed to all parents. We have a limited number of places for our students, so registration is first come, first served. Forms are due by Monday, December 2, 2019.
