Season 5 of the FIScast opens with five guests – Eliza (G10), Regine (G10), Charlotte (G8), Dr. Schaper (Future Pathways Advisor) and Mr. Moya (EAL Teacher) – joining host Ms. Walters to explore what it means to think, learn and communicate across languages and cultures.
Can we have an academic language, an emotional language and even a social language? Why does translation need cultural context? And what are the opportunities and challenges of being multilingual and multicultural? There may not be one answer – but in a community like the FIS, our different languages and perspectives give us plenty to learn from one another.
