As a school, we promote a whole child and inclusive approach, fostering student participation and encouraging new challenges. It is not only about academics but more, much more. Our experiential and service learning opportunities and PTO Christmas Market epitomized this and really showed all elements of our community coming together. Thank you to our wonderful PTO and to Frau Wiegel for making this event possible. This was the culmination of a great deal of hard work and engagement, by both students, parents and teachers, and not only demonstrates individual skill and progression, but an opportunity to work and share collaboratively.
There are many, many more such moments: EY students looking at their sense of place in the world and the EY 4 treasure hunts, Christmas in a Shoebox service learning project, MUN, Grade 11 starting the Extended Essay process, GISST badminton, Music recitals and our primary and EY festive concerts.
Below, you can view some impressions of our Christmas Market.
This is our last issue of our newsletter for the calendar year 2022. We wish all members of our FIS community a safe, happy and healthy holiday and I look forward to seeing you all on 9 January 2023.
Frohe Weihnachten und ein gutes neues Jahr.
