Varsity Badminton Success

Another great success for the FIS! Our Varsity Badminton Girls are the GISST vice-champions! After a challenging day one in the pool round and an amazing performance in the championship round on the second day, the girls finished in 2nd place overall at the GISST Tournament in Hannover. The Varsity Boys team demonstrated fairness and great team spirit, and well-deserved won the Sportsmanship Award at the same tournament. Finally, Sanjana Umesh Kumar finished as the best seed player, winning the individual gold medal!

At the U14 Badminton tournament in Berlin, our teams also played really well and even though they were very young and just starting their competitive careers, both boys and girls finished in 6th place overall.

Well done everyone!

A big thank you goes to our coaches Daniel and Elias for all their hard work and support in developing the Badminton program at the FIS for years now.

Latest results of the City Championship

Earlier this week, our U14 volleyball boys team have also been very successful at the Erlangen City Championships finishing in 2nd place. Congratulations, boys!

Happy Holidays

I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the sports program at the FIS so far this school year. It has been a fantastic first term with lots of great achievements and I’m looking forward to more action in the new year.

I wish you all a fabulous winter break and best wishes for 2018!
