March is a busy month for the Basketball teams. While the Boys will play away, we are hosting two Girls Basketball tournaments here at the FIS. Please see below for more details.
FIS Hosting U14 & Varsity Girls Basketball Tournaments
GISST Varsity Girls Basketball @FIS, March 17-18
On Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18, we are hosting the GISST Varsity Girls Basketball tournament here in Erlangen with eight guest schools, but unfortunately without our own participation. The event will take place in the new Gym 2.0 from 9:30 till 17:00 on Day 1 and from 9:00 – 15:30 on Day 2. Everyone is welcome to come and watch!
Whenever we host sporting events, we provide refreshments and snacks for the players, coaches, officials and spectators and ask all members of the FIS community to kindly donate food and/or offer to help on the day selling food and drinks. GISST U14 Girls Basketball @FIS, March 24-25
The week later, on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, we have a great pleasure of hosting the GISST U14 Girls Basketball tournament. Total of 10 young girls´ teams (incl. the FIS team) will get together to compete in this two-day event. The tournament will take place in the new Gym 2.0 from 9:30 till 17:00 on Day 1 and from 9:00 – 15:00 on Day 2. We invite all basketball fans to come and support the FIS Basketball Girls.

GISST Varsity Boys Basketball Div II Tournament, March 16-18
Ten boys from Grades 9-12 will represent the FIS at the final Varsity Boys Basketball Division II tournament in Neu-Ulm from March 16 – 18. They will travel by bus accompanied by their coach Mr. Wölfel and Ms. Aissen as chaperone. All players and their families have been informed about the selection and travel arrangements. Go FIS Dragons!
GISST U14 Boys Basketball Div I Tournament, March 23-25
The team of ten Grade 5-8 boys will represent the FIS at the final U14 Boys Basketball Division I tournament at the Bavarian International School from March 23 – 25. The Boys worked hard over the course of last six months and will surely have a great time in Munich. They will travel by bus accompanied by their coach Mr. Vidovic and Mr. Jones as chaperone. All players and their families have been informed about the selection and travel arrangements. Good luck FIS Dragons!
