Track and Field competition

The FIS is hosting the GISST Track and Field competition from June 8 to 9, 2018 and we need your support. Whenever we host events, we provide refreshments and snacks for all the athletes and spectators and ask all parents to kindly donate food and/or offer to help on the day selling food and drinks. This is a well-attended event with ten confirmed schools participating, including our own athletes. We need your help to provide refreshments for the athletes, coaches, helpers, and referees during the event.

Please consider donating your time and/or food. To sign up, click the following link and enter your name and email address in the corresponding slots: https://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/hhvja.

For families that wish to support the event with donations but have no students participating, food can be delivered on Friday, June 8 at the Reception before 9:00 and on Saturday, June 9 at the school entrance by 8:15 so that it can be transported to the field. Otherwise, please be so kind to either send your donations with the students, who can deliver it directly at the food stall when they enter on both days, or you could deliver it yourself directly at the venue (TV Erlangen, Kosbacher Weg 75, 91056 Erlangen).

We’re looking forward to hosting a fantastic event, so please get involved and support the FIS Dragons!

Volleyball champions

Fantastic news from Berlin! Our U14 Volleyball Girls played an amazing tournament last weekend, winning all of their matches to bring home the GISST champion title for the third time in a row. Congratulations to the girls and their coach Sirpa.

After a one-year absence, our U14 Boys Volleyball team was also back on the court in Berlin. The boys fought really hard and came a long way to win the third place and bronze in the end. Well done boys and coach Eric!

Summer Sports Camp 2018

Back by popular demand, this year’s Summer Sports Camp will take place from July 9 to 13 and July 16 to 20, always from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 12:00. Students who are currently in Early Years 4 to Grade 7 may attend. Students will do three different sporting activities each day and the purpose is to have fun and be active. You can register your child as of Monday, May 28 via the Parent Portal. There will be 60 places available, but in the past, it has filled up fairly quickly, so please register soon to avoid any disappointment. The cost is 80 EUR per student per week.
