U14 Basketball Results
Last weekend, our U14 Basketball teams were in action in Hannover and Stuttgart. Both teams were simply amazing! They played hard and demonstrated great sportsmanship and fairness, not to mention their cool moves on the court!
After the first day, both teams finished second in their pool and qualified for the playoffs. On the second day, the FIS teams remained focused and managed to win the 3rd place and bronze medal in both the categories.
Congratulations to all and a big thank you to the coaches!
Second Call to All GISST Parents: Host Families Needed for the U14 Boys Volleyball
This is the last call for all GISST families to please help out with hosting the GISST U14 Boys Volleyball here, in Erlangen, from May 16 to May 18, 2019. We will have six other international schools coming to the FIS from all over Germany, with 60 young players who will all be taking part in the volleyball competition over the two-day tournament.
Please join our awesome team and offer to be a host family for the visiting students. You will collect two (or more, if you have space) students from school on the evening of Thursday, May 16 and welcome them into your home for two nights. Please use the following link to let us know if you will be able to host:

Please contact Mrs. Fischer at or Mrs. Chaveriat at if you need more information.
We look forward to hosting a fantastic event, so please get involved and support the FIS Dragons!
Interschool Swim Gala 2019
The Interschool Swimming Competition for students in Grades 2 to 5 will take place next week on Friday and Saturday, April 5 to April 6, 2019, in Frankfurt. We will be taking a total of 24 students to the event and I am sure everyone will have a great time. Parents of those involved have already been informed via email about the events their children will be participating in. The coaches, Mrs. Eckersley, Ms. Prest, Ms. Hufnagel and Mr. Soendberg, are really looking forward to a fabulous competition among our young swimmers.
Good luck to all!
