Grade 2 “Holi” Celebrations

Primary

Last week, children in Grade 2 celebrated the festival “Holi”.

Each class was very lucky to be supported by parents who taught the children in the class about the meaning of the festival and shared delicious homemade food, sweets and drinks with us.

The experience culminated in having our very own festival of color outside. The children had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed learning about another culture.

This year, Grade 2 has also celebrated special holidays related to the cultures of our students, such as Day of the Dead, St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas, Carnival, Halloween, Escalade, La Chandaleur, Thanksgiving, and Chinese New Year.

A big thank you to all of our parents for your continued support in helping our students learn and gain respect for each other and different cultures.
