“The Sun’ll Come Out” for FIS Students in Annie JR.

A standing ovation for our incredible cast, crew, and staff following two unforgettable performances of Annie JR. on May 12 and 13. From the first scene to the final bow, audiences were taken on Annie’s journey through 1930s New York City, filled with optimism, humor, and heart.

The production brought together 27 student performers from Grades 5 – 11, supported by a dedicated backstage and production team of 13 students. After auditions in September and months of rehearsals beginning in October, the cast and crew delivered performances that reflected an enormous amount of commitment, teamwork, and creativity.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charmed audiences as she searched for the family she never gave up hope of finding. Along the way, she overcame the cruel Miss Hannigan, foiled evil plans, and ultimately found a new home with Oliver Warbucks, Grace Farrell, and the lovable Sandy.

Beyond the performances themselves, the musical created opportunities for students to grow in confidence, leadership, collaboration, and resilience. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or supporting the technical elements of the show, every student played an important role in bringing the production to life.

Thank you to everyone in the community who supported the production and cheered on our students throughout the performances. We are so proud of what this talented group achieved together.
