Our newly formed Student Council met for their first official meeting today. Headed by Grade 8 Advisor Mr. Almond, the group presently consists of class representatives, students from various CAS groups, and from most advisories.
The Student Council has been created to represent student concerns, communicate expectations, and be a voice for the larger student body at the FIS.
“We hope to inspire leadership and build initiative in our students. The FIS Student Council will be more than a nominal group and will have a substantial say in student matters and the school environment”, Mr. Almond says.
