Raising Children in the Digital Age: Resources

In-House

Thank you to everyone who attended the Coffee Morning on Raising Children in the Digital age. We had a great session sharing resources to have an open dialog with your children on this sometimes heated topic so that household rules around devices can be fair and functional for parents and kids alike. For anyone interested in the presentation and resources here is the link.

A couple of additional resources were:

Brain Child– a Netflix series, episode 1 is on Social Media and a great talking point for families with children in Grades 4-8 to understand the psychology behind why we do and like certain things online.

Common Sense Media Digital Passport (Grades 3-5) Games and scenarios supporting our Digital Citizenship Curriculum.

Common Sense Media Digital Compass (Grades 6-8) Games and scenarios supporting our Digital Citizenship Curriculum.
