Remarkable achievements

Congratulations to the Grade 10 IGCSE Drama students for their scripted coursework performances held on Monday and Tuesday afternoons of this week. The Drama students worked many long hours to prepare scenes from the plays Gilbert is Dead, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and Mother Teresa is Dead and they should be pleased with their scripted presentations.

Well done, students! Thanks to Ms. Raine and Mr. Ringwald for guiding the students through this process.

Furthermore, I would like to applaud Kalli and Nicole from Grade 7B for being nominated as February’s “Spotlight” students for the Performing Arts Department. The girls are worthy recipients of this nomination as they demonstrate:

  • imagination, creativity, resourcefulness, originality and team work by dressing as TWINS (look-a-likes) for every Middle School Musical rehearsal.
  • consistency at each rehearsal through valuing and appreciating their roles as “Tweedledee and Tweedledum”.

Well done, girls!

Middle School Music Update

Every Friday afternoon you will hear the sounds of voices and a little merry mayhem in the Theater as the Middle School students prepare for the musical production of Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland (Jr)”. The attached photo shows students rehearsing their lines, learning songs and going through choreography. We are about half way through production time now and the cast is looking forward to showing the school community the final performance in May.

Again, watch this space for more information about our continued progress and times and dates of the show.
