GISST Basketball Competition Cancelation
Based on the current situation during this time of heightened concerns regarding the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, and after consultations with other international schools and health officials, the final decision was made to cancel all four GISST Basketball tournaments (i.e. U14 Boys, U14 Girls, Varsity Boys, and Varsity Girls) as well as both the GISST U14 Boys and Girls Volleyball events.
This is an extremely unfortunate circumstance and was undoubtedly a tough decision for the host schools to make. However, above all else is the safety of our students and staff at the tournaments and we want to take all necessary precautions to minimize risk. We are grateful that this decision was made in good time.
In an ideal world, we would look to reschedule the Basketball competitions or relocate them. Unfortunately, due to the busy tournament period approaching and unpredictability of this virus, it is highly unlikely that these tournaments can be rescheduled.
Swimming Training Cancelation
The FIS is taking measures to increase the safety of our school community and has therefore made a decision to cancel Swimming training for all age groups (Grades 2 to 5, U14, and Varsity) until further notice.

FIS 3×3 Streetball
Ready for some streetball?
On Saturday, March 21, 2020, the first ever FIS 3×3 Basketball championship will take place in our gym from 10:00 until 15:00. All Middle and High School students, as well as adult members of the FIS community, are welcome to join this event. You can register as a team of 3 or individually (in which case, the team will be created just before the event) by completing this sign-up form.

Hard copies can also be found on the GISST information board at the gym entrance and should be put into the registration box at the reception after filling it out. Players can enter one of the following categories: U14 boys, U14 girls, U14 mixed, men, women and mixed.
