Last week, our Grade 8 students enjoyed their trip to Reit im Winkl. They faced various challenges in teams, building a strong sense of collaboration and pushing through when things got tough.
The overnight hike on Wednesday was both challenging and rewarding, taking them 1650m above sea level on a 13.6 km trek. After a long day on the trail, students set up camp below the summit and spent the night under the stars, preparing for the next day’s adventure. By 4:30 Thursday morning, they were on their feet again, hiking for another hour to reach the mountaintop just in time for an incredible sunrise.
This experience encouraged our students to think critically, plan ahead, and support one another. By working together and stepping out of their comfort zones, the students grew as individuals and as a group, while the challenges they faced helped them to push boundaries, build resilience, and learn how to handle the world around them.
