Forest trails, tough competition and some exciting finishes on the athletics track – this year’s GISST Cross Country event in Leipzig had plenty to offer! On October 9, our FIS runners joined athletes from eight other schools at Leipzig International School, with around 50 competitors taking part in each race.
In the Varsity Boys race, covering almost 5 km, Dag achieved an impressive 6th place finish in his first year in this age group. Jan followed in 14th place and Darius in 29th. Our U14 Boys also showed determination and good pacing over their 2.8 km course, finishing in 24th, 37th, 39th and 42nd place.
Well done to all our runners for their efforts and team spirit, and thank you to Coaches Palmer-Myers and Tamás for their support!
