Seven Continents, 194 Countries, one FIS!

PTO

Join us in our celebration of diversity and different cultures at our school, by decorating our lovely fir trees in the Aula in the FIS main building!

We have seven trees, each one dedicated to a continent: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. There are signs above every tree to indicate which continent it represents.

How it works:

  1. Think of the country you originally come from, a country you used to live at, one you have visited, or somewhere you aspire to travel to. It doesn’t matter whether you celebrate Christmas or a different event in your culture (for example Ded Moroz, Hogmanay, Chinese New Year, Diwali, etc.) just bring any ornaments or decorations that symbolize the tradition of your country or culture (it could be as simple as a little flag).
  2. Just hang your decoration on the tree that represents your continent/country.
  3. If you want the decoration back when the trees are being put away before the winter break, please attach a label with your name/child’s name and class on it.

Help us make every tree an original that represents your country and continent! The trees are already in the Aula and are waiting to be decorated!

Thanks a lot and we hope you have lots of fun!
