World Challenge expedition to Morocco

Secondary

Do you know any high school students interested in community service, outdoor adventure and travel abroad? In partnership with British organization World Challenge, the FIS plans to send a small group of students and teacher chaperones for 14 days to Morocco in the summer of 2018. Previous school trips with World Challenge have taken students once to Romania and twice to Morocco, most recently in 2016. While in Morocco, students will have the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable, community development project within a rural community and then complete a backpacking trek in the Atlas Mountains. In 2016, students assisted with the construction of a pump-house to protect a newly drilled well at a village school and hiked the Tiziane circuit close to Toubkal, north Africa’s highest peak.

All interested Grade 9 to 12 students and their parents are invited to learn more at an information evening with World Challenge representative Tony Burns on Wednesday, 20 September, 2017 at 18:30 in FIS I. We hope to see you there!
