Trophies for FIS Varsity Football Teams

Sports

Congratulations to our Varsity Football teams on their great successes at the final GISST tournaments last week. Both FIS teams, the Boys and the Girls, were simply amazing, showed solid performances, and had a great time in Munich and Berlin. Moreover, they brought home three trophies – GISST Runners Up for second place in Varsity Boys Football Division 1 and two Sportsmanship Awards. Well done everyone & thank you to the coaches. We are so proud of you!

GISST Varsity Badminton @FIS, December 9-10

On Friday, December 9, and Saturday, December 10, we are hosting the GISST Varsity Badminton tournament here in Erlangen with more than 80 participants from eight guest schools, and of course our FIS players. The event will take place in the new Gym 2.0 from 9:30 till 17:00 on Day 1 and from 9:30 – 16:00 on Day 2. Everyone is welcome to come and watch!

Whenever we host events, we provide refreshments and snacks for the players, coaches, officials and spectators and ask all parents to kindly donate food and/or offer to help on the day selling food and drinks. This time, we will also have a group of our Secondary students (“The FunRaiser”) offering their help, and taking over a full responsibility for the catering on Saturday in order to raise money for a refugee support charity. Still, we rely on parents’ support for the first day of the tournament, Friday, December 9.

Please consider donating your time and/or food products listed in the link below. To sign up, please follow the link.

We are looking forward to hosting a fantastic event so please get involved and support the Team! Your help is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!
