The FIS Model United Nations Club In-House Conference

The FIS’s Model United Nations (MUN) group will be hosting an in-house conference for grades 7-11 to participate in!

MUN is a group of students who enjoy debating and discussing varying current global issues. We as participants strive to emulate the procedures, practices, and protocols of the actual United Nations, debating a variety of ongoing socio-economic, cultural, and political topics throughout the world. We meet after school Mondays in 2.202, any student in grades 7-12 is welcome to attend!

During the school year, we attend conferences with other schools from all over Europe to debate. At the moment, we are planning to host our own in-house conference consisting of just FIS students, inviting anyone who wants to join to try out the club and see if they enjoy MUN.

On Friday, May 26, participants will be off time-table discussing the topic of “The exploration of the nuances and complexities of censorship in the modern age, with a specific focus on the impact on journalism, protests, and social media.” To sign up please apply via this Google Form.

Teachers are more than welcome to bring their classes throughout the day to listen in and watch what we can assure will be an entertaining, fruitful, and eventful debate.

If there are any questions regarding the event or MUN, please feel free to email:
