After School Activities News

In-House

The FIS After School Activity Program will begin on Monday, 25 September. The courses for the fall session will run until Friday, 15 December. In order to expand the range of activities offered by the FIS teachers and give students a wider choice, we have invited external teachers, too. These activities taught by external teachers will be invoiced by the FIS at the end of each session. Students who sign up to participate in the After School Activity Program (ASAP) are committed to the activity for the specific day of the week and for the full period of the course. A list of offerings is available on the After School Activity page.

Please note that all courses conclude at 16:45 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and at 15:10 on Fridays. There is no bus transportation provided after the After School Activities. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child/ren participating in the ASAP are picked up from school on those days. After School Activities can be booked online (Parent Portal) from Monday, 11 September at 17:30 until Monday, 18 September at 12:00. Click on the icon “Booking Activities”, then select your child’s name and a list of available activities for his/her grade will appear. Then select the activity of your choice. Please be aware that some activities offer a limited number of placements and might be quickly booked out! Some activities might be cancelled if the number of participants is not sufficient. A final confirmation will be sent per email on Thursday, 21 September. Please contact or if you are having problems accessing the parent portal or booking your activity. All new families should have received an email informing them of their Schoolbase login details.

We would also like to emphasize that aside from After School Activities, students can participate in the Instrumental Program and take private music lessons at the FIS after class. Middle School and High School students can participate in the GISST Sports Program and besides a lot of activities are offered locally in the Erlangen community. If you need any help finding specific sports or activities, please email  and we will be happy to assist you.
