If your child is interested in playing baseball, or you are looking for a new sport to introduce to your child, consider trying the Erlangen White Sox Baseball Club.
Baseball has been played in Erlangen since 1994. In fact, the Club will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in July of 2024. We currently have baseball teams in two age groups: Schüler 7-11 and Jugend 12-15. It would be great if we could form a Tee-ball team of 5 to 6 year olds as well. We are always looking for interested boys and girls to join!
The training is provided in both German and English. During mid Spring to early Autumn, the Schüler and Jugend teams train twice a week (except during school holidays and Summer break): Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:30 until 18:00.
During Winter to early Spring (except during school holidays), we train in the FIS Indoor Sports Hall, this year beginning December 2:
Schüler – Saturdays from 10:00 until 11:45
Jugend – Saturdays from 12:00 until 13:45
All training and home games take place at the Baseball Park at the SpVgg Erlangen e.V. Sportsplatz, Kurt-Schumacher-Str., directly across the street from the FIS.
The majority of games are on Saturdays (with some exceptions) and we do travel to other areas in Bavaria to play some away games.
Please feel free to bring your child out to try out. If he/she enjoys the sport and wishes to continue, then they are welcome to train with us a few more times to make sure that they want to join the team and play. We want to ensure they enjoy the sport before any commitment is made.
If you do not own any equipment, no problem! We provide the basic equipment for newcomers to practice and play.
