On December 12, the Fashion Exploratory class took a field trip to the adidas MakerLab. In the adidas MakerLab, we were given a tour of the whole place and got to look at all the machinery that the designers used. Before we went on the trip we created designs and patterns that would then get printed onto fabric. We also got a design brief for spring/summer 2019 trends. The design brief consisted of different trends that we could use as inspiration for our clothing prototype made from donated shoes, shirts, and hats that were either damaged or didn’t sell. It was very exciting to see the workspace of all the other designers and where they work on a daily basis.
