FIS Model United Nations

Secondary

The FIS Model United Nations (MUN) is a student-initiated simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate its participants about current events, the United Nations agenda and other important topics relating to international relations.

Debates are held most weeks, sometimes on humorous topics and sometimes on serious global problems. Students role-play as diplomats representing a nation or NGO researching, consulting and then developing solutions to world problems. During a debate or conference, participants have the opportunity to develop their communication and critical thinking skills in order to represent the policies of their country.

Meetings take place each Monday from 15:40 and are open to all students from Grades 8 to 12.

If you would like to know more about the group, please contactme at or the current president, Siddharth Thakur, at .
