Career Day 2018

Secondary

With over 30 various sessions scheduled, the Career Day on December 11, 2018, aims to inspire and support our Middle and High School students as they navigate their way towards decisions about the future.

The day kicks off for Grades 8 to 12 with a keynote address by FIS Alumnus, Ivo Consi, Producer and Filmmaker at Consi Production.

For Grade 9 to 12, the day continues with a conference-style event with talks delivered by professionals in different fields, workshops and special sessions on topics including but not limited to personal branding, how to choose a career, preparing for the interview, building up own company, effective presentation skills, and choosing a wrong career path.

Grades 6 to 8 will inquire in detail into the questions: What is a career? What are my passions? How do my character strengths, interests, talents, soft skills, and hard skills support my exploration of careers that might interest me? Why are these traits and skills important in the workplace, and how might I further develop those that are important to me?

Parents, perhaps you would like to continue the conversations at home; follow the Career Day program for full details of the event!
