The PTO Welcome Committee would like to have you as a Buddy Family! The idea is for you to offer your help to newcomers if needed. When a new family arrives at the FIS, it is always of great help if there is an opportunity for them to meet an existing family from their home country, who can give them tips and/or answer various types of questions. This is especially important at the beginning when they are settling in. An email or a call can help them with their first queries. It is up to you how much time you want to invest. It is all about letting them feel welcome and building community. Please let us know if you would like to help out and send us a reply with your name and surname indicating which is your home country to .
We are sure that this will make them feel more comfortable and make their start much easier! If you already signed up as a Buddy last year you will automatically stay a Buddy unless you let us know otherwise.
