The FIS Libraries are pleased to announce that this year’s Battle of the Books (BOB) will involve more grades than ever before! For the first time Grade 3 will be battling against Grade 4, while Grades 5, 6 and 7 will be battling against one another. Many High School students wanted the chance to take part in Battle of the Books and so, for the first time, Grade 8 will be battling against teams from Grades 9, 10 and 11. To mark the 20th anniversary of the FIS, the Middle School Battle of the Books consists of 20 books!
Kickoff assemblies for the Elementary and Middle School competitions will take place on Thursday, February 21 when teams of homeroom and subject teachers will battle against one another to demonstrate how Battle of the Books works. The list of BOB 2019 books will finally be revealed and the stampede to check out the books will begin!
