Wishing You a Joyful and Restful Spring Holiday

As we approach the end of March, we also approach one of the most exciting times of the year – spring break! This is a time for our students, teachers, and staff to take a well-deserved break and enjoy some time off with their families and loved ones.

Spring break is a time for relaxation, rejuvenation, and fun. Whether you’re traveling to a new destination, spending time with family and friends, or simply taking some time to relax at home, we hope that this break will bring you joy and happiness.

We are proud of our students’ hard work and dedication throughout the school year, and we know that this break will provide them with the opportunity to recharge and come back to school ready to continue their learning journey.

During this break, we encourage everyone to make the most of their time by trying new activities, exploring new places, and spending quality time with those who matter most. We also remind our students to stay safe, be responsible, and make smart choices during their break.

There is a group of students who will not be taking their foot of the gas. We wish all our students doing external examinations the very best of luck over the coming weeks. There is no doubt that the IB Diploma course is both interesting and challenging. While the IB does demand a lot, students generally recognize the high-value universities now placed on the IB Diploma. Our soon to be graduating students are able to use this qualification to get into prestigious universities around the world. Each year I am taken with how our students mature through this course. They learn how to manage a demanding workload and broad curriculum, as well as the demands of independent learning, original thinking, creativity, action, and service. On top of all this, our Grade 12’s are role models in the school, finding time to contribute to the amazing sporting, musical, dramatic and service learning opportunities that are such a feature of the FIS.

It is also time for our grade 10 students to gear up for their upcoming MYP exams. To all the grade 10 students, we wish you the very best of luck as you embark on this important phase of your academic journey. Remember to stay focused, put in your best effort, and trust in your abilities.

We look forward to seeing our students and staff return to school on April 17, refreshed, re-energized, and ready to tackle the remainder of the school year. Wishing you all a wonderful and restful spring break!
