Basketball Friendlies
This Saturday, February 23, the Varsity Basketball teams are travelling to BIS (boys) and ISS (girls) to compete. All the participants and their parents have already been informed about the travel arrangements.
The same day, we are hosting a Friendly Tournament here at FIS for U14 Boys and Girls Basketball. Please find the schedule below. We are looking forward to welcome many supporters too. Come and enjoy some real action!

U14 Girls Volleyball Try-Outs – Message from the Coach
Our U14 Girls Volleyball Pre-season is in full swing! So far this pre-season, you have been getting to know one another and you have been taught the basic techniques of serving, bumping/passing, setting and hitting!
As you already know, volleyball is a highly technical sport that requires not only correct technique in ball handling but also quick reactions yet a calm mind, good fitness, team spirit and perseverance over time – just to name a few!
As this pre-season is already over half way it is a good time to think if you would like to try and see if your ability is already at the level required to join the GISST season training, which will take place from March 25 to May 13, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:00 to 17:30.
The U14 Girls Volleyball Try-Outs for the GISST season take place during normal training sessions as follows:
- Thursday, March 21 from 15:45 to 17:00
- Monday, March 25 from 16:00 to 17:30
- Thursday, March 27 from 16:00 to 17:30
Everybody is welcome to join in! Out of all the U14 girls who take part in the Try-Outs, fourteen will be selected to train in the main season. Later, ten girls will be further selected to represent the school in the GISST tournament in Dresden, May 16 to 18, 2019.
