The Franconian International School recently had the opportunity to connect with Siemens employees during the Siemens Networking Day – Spotlight on the FIS. The event brought together parents whose children are already part of the FIS community, as well as families considering the school as they plan their move to the region.
It was a valuable opportunity to listen, connect, and learn. The genuine exchange of perspectives, from first questions to lived experiences, offered meaningful insight into the needs of internationally mobile families. The FIS will take these real-life insights forward into the way learning is shaped and experienced across the school.
A special moment was seeing FIS alumna, Mitaali Gupta (Class of 2020) co-moderate the event. Now working at Siemens, she reflected on her journey from student to professional, offering a clear and authentic example of how an FIS education supports future pathways.
As families relocate to the Nürnberg metropolitan region, school becomes a central part of how they settle in. The FIS sees itself as a committed partner in this process, supporting both international and national families as they build their lives here. Beyond education, the school provides a community where children develop a sense of belonging and where families form meaningful connections that help them feel at home.
Thank you to Siemens for the opportunity and the continued collaboration.
