This award was established to celebrate the legacy of our late Director of Educational Technology, Allen Lindblad. Allen was a pioneer who believed that technology should be used to build community, foster kindness, and promote integrity. Through this award, we recognize one student annually who exemplifies these values in their digital life.
Why Your Input Matters? We recognize that much of a student’s digital life happens outside the classroom. As parents, you often have a unique perspective on how students interact online, support one another, and maintain a healthy balance with technology. We invite you to nominate a student who stands out in any of or a combination of the following areas:
- Responsibility & Ethics: Using digital tools safely and ethically.
- Kindness & Communication: Preventing cyberbullying and communicating with respect.
- Critical Thinking: Demonstrating strong academic integrity and source evaluation.
- Collaboration: Supporting peers and being a positive presence in online groups.
- Digital Wellness: Demonstrating leadership in balanced and mindful screen use.
How to Nominate: If you know a student who embodies these traits, please submit your nomination via this link. Following the initial submission, the selection committee may reach out to nominators for a brief follow-up meeting to learn more about the nominee’s impact.
Nominations will remain open until Friday, May 29. The recipient will be announced at our end-of-year assembly and their name will be permanently inscribed on the memorial board outside Room 1.022.
Thank you for helping us honor Allen’s vision and celebrating the students who make our digital community a better place.
