Hamburg Visit for Model United Nations

Secondary

Last week, students from the High School attended the Model United Nations in Hamburg. MUNoH has been held each year at the Gymnasium Meiendorf since 2007 and is attended by international Schools from around Europe.

Some of the discussions centered around topics such as the Indo-Pakistan conflict, the establishment of a nuclear weapon-free zone in the Middle East, and genetic modification.

Students wrote position papers, resolutions and took part in sometimes lengthy and often heated debates. The countries the FIS represented were Australia, Kuwait and Bangladesh.

The FIS MUN group meets every Monday and is open to all High School students.
