EY5’s Get Up Close with Firefighters

Primary

Exploring the roles and responsibilities within the community, our EY5 classes embarked on a tour of the main fire station in Erlangen in January.

Their experience included a visit to the training room’s intricacies and a glimpse into the rigorous training procedures, watching the process of filling oxygen tanks, and of course – the opportunity to sit in a fire truck. Students gained a better understanding of the demanding nature of a firefighter’s role in particular, realizing how brave and hardworking they are. They also learned a lot about emergency services in general and how they help keep our community safe.
