Congratulations to our U14 Volleyball Teams!

The boys progressed really well over the two tournament days – from standing on the court for the first time ever as a team on Friday morning to playing an extremely hard and tight final match Saturday afternoon. Not a long time ago, just the dream of one single grade 8 student came true within just two months. After a very close final match that even went into a tie-break, our U14 boys finished second, which is the best ever result the FIS achieved in the GISST U14 Boys Volleyball competition. Congratulations to the boys and their coach Adrian Hemmelmann. Well done!

Another great tournament took place in Duisburg last week, where the U14 Girls competed. In a very nice atmosphere, with lots of fun but also excitement, our girls stayed confident and calm, performed well on both days, and made it to the final once again. In spite of having limited experience, the FIS team showed the right – “fight hard” – attitude, and ended up in second place, bringing home the Runner-Up trophy and silver medals. Congratulations to our girls, Mr. H, and the Assistant Coaches! Way to go!
