Battle of the Books

Library

Excited readers were spotted all around school this week as we launched our annual Battle of the Books “BoB” program!

The purpose of Battle of the Books is to motivate students to read something new, respond to literature in a variety of ways, and increase confidence through teamwork. Students in Grades 4-6 participate by reading a selection of books, with a wide variety of reading levels and genres to choose from. It is okay to read the books at home, at school, or even together as a read aloud.

Over the next couple of months, students may earn points for their team by choosing and completing differentiated reading responses. The library team is excited to offer this motivational program to our students, and happy to answer any questions. Enjoy reading everyone!
