Head of Department Mathematics (Secondary)

The Franconian International School (FIS) in Erlangen, located in southern Germany, serves primarily the international community of the Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg and educates students in an international environment according to high academic standards. The FIS is looking for a

Starting: August 1, 2024

Employment Type: Full-time

Contract Type: 2 years

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Mathematics Department for the Secondary section
Teach and manage the educational program relevant to subject and grade level(s) based on the FIS curriculum
Responsibilities according to FIS Teacher/HoD Job Description

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

Teaching qualification with valid teaching license, if applicable
Relevant University degree
Energetic and enthusiastic, looking to develop IB MYP and DP Math experience
Ability to lead a dynamic and diverse team
Strong focus on student-centered learning
IB MYP and DP curriculum experience
Experience as HoD / in Curriculum Leadership preferred
Experience in an international school an advantage
Minimum of five years teaching experience preferred
