The FIS proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 last Friday, marking an important milestone for students, families, and the wider school community.
While the ceremony recognized academic achievement, it was equally a celebration of the people these students have become. Throughout their years at the FIS, this group experienced significant change and challenge, yet remained known for its warmth, sense of community, and ability to build meaningful connections with one another. These qualities featured prominently in the reflections shared during the ceremony.
In her graduation address, Head of School Petra Niemczyk spoke about the importance of human connection in a rapidly changing world. While today’s graduates are entering a future shaped by technological advancement and uncertainty, she encouraged them to remain grounded in empathy, curiosity, resilience, and respect for others.
