Fasching in Germany, celebrated just before the fasting season of Lent, is a time to indulge, rejoice, and embrace all the joys of life. It’s a vibrant festival marked by delicious foods like fresh pretzels, sizzling Bratwurst sausages, and Krapfen – the German equivalent of doughnuts. During Fasching, children dress up in costumes and partake in festivities at Kindergartens and schools, enjoying a playful atmosphere filled with fun and laughter.
At the FIS, we will join in the celebration on Friday, February 28. Everyone is invited to come to school dressed in a Fasching costume. The PTO has organized a disco and exciting games for the Primary students, while Secondary students can look forward to free snacks. We hope you’ll share in this joyful day as we come together to celebrate Fasching in style!
