Let the show begin!
Grade 1 students recently twirled and tumbled, sang and danced, performed magic, told jokes, and otherwise wowed audiences at their very own talent show. The talent show was the culmination of their most recent IPC unit, titled “Entertainment”.
Within this unit, students had the opportunity to explore the ways entertainment has changed over time. They began the unit by practicing circus activities, such as juggling, balancing, and acrobatics. Students reflected on animal welfare in historical circuses and compared them to modern circuses with holographic animals. Students also used expression to produce classic silent films and honed their storytelling skills as they created puppet shows and picture books.
Bravo, Grade 1 students!
