Off to the competitive season!
After a range of various Friendly events in October (and a few more to come begin of November; see below), our GISST teams are entering the “home stretch” in the upcoming weeks with focus on the following final tournaments:
- U14 and Varsity Cross Country – November 9-10, Leipzig
- U14 Boys Football – November 16-18, Munich
- Varsity Boys Football – November 22-24, Berlin
- Varsity Girls Football – November 23-25, Cologne
- Varsity Girls Volleyball – November 30 – December 2, Duisburg
- Varsity Boys Volleyball – December 1-2, here at the FIS
- U14 Badminton – December 7-9, Duisburg
- Varsity Badminton – December 7-9, Hannover
GISST Cross Country @LIS – November 9-10
Right after the Fall break, the FIS Cross Country team of 8 runners from Grade 6 to 10, accompanied by their coaches and Mr. Hyde as chaperone, are heading to Leipzig for the final competition. On Friday, November 10, the event takes place with Varsity races happening in the morning and the U14 ones in the early afternoon. Good luck to ALL!
Badminton and Varsity Boys Volleyball Friendly @FIS –Saturday, November 11
On Saturday, November 11th, we will be hosting another Friendly here at the FIS which will be a combined event for the U14 and Varsity Badminton teams and the Varsity Boys Volleyball. The tournament will run from 10:00-16:00 with Badminton matches taking place in Gym 2.0 and Volleyball in Gym 1.0. Families and friends are most welcome to come and support FIS athletes on this occasion.
As always when we are hosting a sporting event, we need your help to provide refreshments for the players, coaches, staff and spectators during the event. Please consider donating your time and/or food products. To sign up follow this link. Varsity Boys Football Friendly @ISF, November 11
The last Friendly Football match for our Varsity Boys team is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th in Frankfurt. We are only able to take one team of 17 selected players, and all parents and students have already been informed accordingly.
