G8 in Reit im Winkl

Secondary

Grade 8 started the school year with a community-building trip to Reit im Winkl. A standout moment was the 4:00 o’clock wake-up call for a steep, pre-dawn hike – rewarded by a quiet, reflective sunrise and breakfast at a mountain hut, and followed by a gondola ride back down with beautiful views.

At camp, students tried supervised “polar bear” dips and headed to the river for rafting and swimming with the current, great practice in caring teamwork and clear communication. Other highlights included the “10,000-star hotel,” movie night, a disco, and Stockbrot by the fire.

A huge thank-you to our dedicated teamers and kitchen crew. Experiences like these help students grow as principled teammates and resilient learners, while giving teachers many moments to connect and encourage each individual. It was a memorable start to the year, with plenty of stories to bring back to the classroom.
